Who doesn't LOVE cookie dough? I know I do!
When I was a kid I distinctly remember my aunt not letting my cousins eat it because of the "raw eggs". But my mother (the nurse) was less than 1% worried about us getting sick, and so we ate away. I mean within reason...there is only so much of that stuff you can eat until you start to feel sick. Every time cookies were being made though she gave us a little taste; and almost always caught us later taking scoops out of the bowl with our fingers.
Fast forward 20 years and I still love to eat it. Sometimes I will go to the grocery store and buy a log of dough purely to eat it with a spoon. Other times I will "make cookies" and end up with less baked ones than I planned - because a spoon was nearby.
A small company, based out of an unassuming apartment building in Manhattan has taken this love (and maybe need) to the next level.
This may or may not fuel my laziness - which has become a part of me since moving to the city - but who cares. It's cookie dough!
Cookie DŌ is a delicious "newish" NY treat bringing dough to the masses in cute packaging and in an abundance of flavors (which you can even customize)! The best part about DŌ is they are very cognizant of the fact everyone should be able to enjoy amazing cookies (and dough), regardless if they are gluten-free, vegan or can eat everything under the sun.
Do yourself a favor...whether you live in NY, are visiting, or are planning on visiting, head on over to 2nd Avenue . You won't regret it.
