Who You Gonna Call?

Who You Gonna Call?

I feel like most people are divided on the new Ghostbusters movie. It's been 30 years since the original came out and I'm not going to lie, I am very excited about this reboot! The cast is going to be awesome, mainly because individually these women are hil-ar-ious.

  • Kristen Wiig will always be synonymous with her ridiculous SNL characters
  • When you talk about the movie Bridesmaids I dare you not to think about Melissa McCarthy stealing a van full of puppies, hitting on Air Marshal John, and having the most hardcore sh*t in a bridal boutique bathroom sink.
  • Leslie Jones' un-shameful way of speaking her mind is priceless.
  • And Kate McKinnon...her Ellen, Bieber and Hillary impressions, coupled with her amazingly awkward way of "looking sexy" will 100% get a laugh out of me.

To celebrate the upcoming release and 30 year anniversary BBQ Films partnered with Villain in Brooklyn to create a Ghostbusters HQ in the heart of Williamsburg. And in true Lindsey fashion I was able to grab my go-to friend who is always up for a memorable NY experience. From the moment you arrived you were overwhelmed with a sense of awesomeness and cheesiness. The right amount of cheese for the perfect night.

Three of the cars from the movies were on site, "ghosts" were were everywhere and stations helping you improve your ghost fighting abilities were scattered throughout the space. Ending the night was a screening of the original movie, complete with special effects and audience participation. Hands down one of the best things about the night were the different photo stations which allowed you to create some of the best GIFs I've seen in a long time.

Random night? Yes. But sometimes you need to fully nerd out.

There are ghosts everywhere in NYC!
